WiFi Solutions for SMMT 2022
Novahub recently provided WiFi service and support for the annual SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) Test Day at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford.
The SMMT Test Day brings together vehicle manufacturers and hundreds of automotive and business journalists for a day of driving and testing.
With thirty brands and over 150 of the latest models available to drive, journalists were able to experience the vehicles and network with industry representatives.

Novahub WiFi solutions steering the way
Novahub already provides Novahub Venue Wifi throughout Millbrook’s main event venue.
Several events were hosted in different areas of the Millbrook site, so WiFi was required across all the sites including key areas such as the external steering pad.
Novahub achieved this by extending the network outdoors, delivering WiFi to all the outdoor events and enabling them to operate smoothly during the day.
Novahub used 5GHz point to multi-point connections to boost the existing WiFi provision and deliver reliable WiFi service for all guests and exhibitors throughout the day. Exhibitor generators provided power to the outdoor nodes to ensure demand was met.
Intensive usage
Over 200 simultaneous users were supported by the WiFi network during the SMMT event, and with more than 500 user connections, guests and exhibitors benefited from fast, reliable internet access on demand throughout the site.
